Redefining in-store appliance shopping with a life-sized catalog
Role: Associate Creative Director (Art), Designer
CenterStage is an interactive retail platform showcasing Samsung appliances in ultra high definition, true-to-life size.
It all began with the insight that today’s appliance retail experience is overwhelming for most shoppers. They’re confronted with rows of products that only have brief feature descriptions and don’t provide a way to experience how those products work.
We created CenterStage so people could experience what washing machines and refrigerators are actually like when they’re turned on and working. They can see refrigerators filled with food, view them in several life-size home kitchens, change the color of the finish, and learn about differentiating features—all in service of closing the sale in store.
Easily accessible navigation that stays out of the way
We created a navigation system that would be accessible with a touch, but also get out of the way when not needed. Its clean, circular form allows us to elegantly expand, collapse, and navigate with ease.
